Is Obama Infecting America With Ebola Just to Prevent Another Government Shutdown?

Look, I’m just asking.

Just as Erik Rush was just asking in his October 8th column: is Obama refusing to seal the borders and block flights from Africa because he wants America to be destroyed by Ebola?  Well?  Maybe!  Rush argued that Obama is not a bungling “Steve Urkel” but an “incomprehensibly diabolical individual.”  The right can never decide whether the President is an incompetent naif or an evil puppet master.  As the election approaches, and since Ebola is scary, they have settled on the latter for now.

A different bloviating Rush had a similar message.  Limbaugh argued that Obama wants Americans to get Ebola as payback for slavery. Obama, he said, believes “this country” is “to blame for things” and “it’s that kind of thinking that leads to opposition to shutting down airports from various countries.”  No one asked Loudbag whether Obama, having white American ancestors, is hoping to get Ebola himself.

Allen West cited Tom Clancy as a source when he argued that Obama might be trying to weaponize Ebola and spread it via illegal immigrant children.  West is currently digging for more evidence in Clive Cussler’s bestseller, “Sahara.”

Author Morgan Brittany (who argues that feminism suppresses women) wondered on WorldNetDaily: what if Obama is allowing Ebola into the US so that he can use all those FEMA coffins and declare martial law?  Apparently Brittany didn’t get the Rushes’ and West’s memo that Obama is evil because he’s NOT taking supreme control of the border and air traffic.

Brittany was joined by fellow anti-feminist Phyllis Schlafly (who argues that women should get paid less than men to find a husband).  Schlafly, who, like Limbaugh, knows how Obama thinks, argued that Obama;

“wants America to be “just like everybody else, and if Africa is suffering from Ebola, we ought to join the group and be suffering from it, too. That’s his attitude.”

Gadfly added,

“Out of all the things he’s done, I think this thing of letting these diseased people into this country to infect our own people is just the most outrageous of all.”

Although they have different theories, and disagree on particulars, these right wing commentators all agree with Schlafly’s assumption that Obama is allowing people with Ebola to infect Americans.  Why would anyone question that assumption?  After all, Obama and Ebola are both scary and both come from Africa.  They even sort of sound similar.  The logic of the assumption is at least as coherent as the striking correlation between the divorce rate in Maine and per capita consumption of margarine in the US between 2000 and 2009. The people who don’t see any problem with this assumption are the same people who are surprised to learn that people fly to the US from West Africa every day, and don’t see any problem with telling them they can’t.  Conservatives have to make damn sure those people vote.

Since we’re all operating under this assumption, I’d like to offer a different theory as to why Obama is allowing all of us to get infected with Ebola.  And since I know how he thinks, I know that he doesn’t want Republicans to shut down the government again.  Republicans have recently begun hinting that they would be willing to shut down the government again over a provision of the Affordable Care Act.  One year ago, Republicans violated the 14th Amendment by holding the debt hostage for 16 days at massive economic cost to the DC area and the nation in a seditious plot funded by the Koch brothers’ political empire.

The dastardly mastermind Obama just wants to force Republicans to keep the federal government open while it does the vital job of protecting the American people from a potentially dangerous epidemic that is also highly containable while regulating health insurance providers.

Because you see, Obama put virtually all of his political capital on the line to ensure every American had access to affordable healthcare JUST to make Republicans look silly when they argue that the government is always the problem.  His evil is unfathomable.
