GOP FL Gov. Rick Scott’s Campaign Ripped For Falsifying Miami Herald Headline (PICS)
The GOP is all about protecting an individual’s right to ownership of their property. That is, unless the property belongs to someone else and they want to use it without permission or payment.
The latest proof of this hypocrisy comes from GOP Governor of Florida and KOCH-supported Teabagger extraordinaire, Rick Scott. His campaign appropriated the front page of the Miami Herald and altered it to appear as though an editorial written by the governor’s campaign was running as a prominent news story.
The photo, shown below and posted to Scott’s social media page and since taken down, ran with the caption;
“Check out the editorial in yesterday’s Miami Herald.”
The problem is, is was a bad Photoshop hack-job. The original is below:
The newspaper has since forced the campaign to remove the image from its Facebook page. Managing Editor of the paper, Rick Hirsh had this to say,
“The posting of a fraudulent front page of The Miami Herald is unacceptable. Not only is it a fraud on the public, but it is trademark infringement for use of our masthead in a fake edition, and copyright infringement for those portions of the front page that were not fabricated.”
The moral of the story? Rick Scott is a creepy, crooked scumbag for many, many reasons. This is just one of them. Want more? Google it.
