Republican Ex-Congressman Calling For Armed Militias Against Obama

No matter how much the GOP talks about impeachment or how many of their spokespeople bring it up in speeches to their rabid base, if the Democrats talk about their intentions, somehow that is characterized as fear-mongering.

Now, former Colorado Republican congressman, Tom Tancredo has turned up the heat.

In a rant this weekend in World Net Daily, Tancredo simultaneously rails against Obama’s “bluff”, playing up the threat of impeachment while calling for that very thing. The basis for that action is, of course, unannounced but wildly speculated unilateral amnesty for alien residents across America. Wrote Tancredo;

“…it is called amnesty by edict. It is no secret Obama plans to give an administrative amnesty modeled on the “DACA” deferred deportation program to 5-to-10 million illegal-alien adults soon after Labor Day. That is designed to both energize Latino activists and provoke a Republican backlash.”

While attempting to stiffen Republican resolve to move ahead, keeping impeachment not only on the table, but in the forefront of discussion, Tancredo acknowledges the political downside, even conceding the possibility that, should the house impeach the President, he would be found not guilty in trial. Just as offensively, Tancredo implies that President Obama is somehow being given a pass because he is an African-American;

We must make the case for impeachment to demonstrate that no man is above the law, not even the first black president.”

Tancredo concluded his tirade with the suggestion of a second amendment remedy:

“Are we really that afraid that the Democrat base can be rallied in support of blatantly unconstitutional acts but that the Republican base cannot be motivated and energized to respond in kind? Are we really that afraid to challenge presumptuous dictatorial behavior? If so, then the war is already lost and we should all stock our ammunition shelves and join a militia.”

If the White House talking about the GOP intent to impeach is fear mongering, what will the right call it if they mention this?
