Maine Senator Rips Dick Cheney, Invites Him To Be Waterboarded (VIDEO)

Independent Maine Senator Angus King is making major waves on Sunday for his outspoken criticism of ex Vice-President and current war criminal Dick Cheney’s recent defense of the CIA’s use of waterboarding.

Last week, Cheney reaffirmed his reputation as perhaps one of the most vile figures in American politics when, defending himself against accusations of being a war criminal at American University, he literally doubled down when defending the inhuman torture technique;

“Some people called it torture. It wasn’t torture… If I would have to do it all over again, I would. The results speak for themselves.”

In an interview that aired last night on MSNBC’s Up with Steve Kornacki, Sen. King – who serves on the Senate Intelligence Committee – went after Cheney’s recent remarks, saying he was “shocked,” to hear Cheney’s comments;

 “If he doesn’t think that was torture, I would invite him anywhere in the United States to sit in a waterboard and go through what those people went through – one of them a hundred and plus-odd times… this was torture by anybody’s definition… John McCain says it’s torture and I think he’s in a better position to know that than Vice President Cheney.”

Senator King’s comments start about 4:40 minutes in, but the entire segment is well worth the watch, via MSNBC’s Up with Steve Kornacki;
