Geraldo Rivera Rips FOX For Lying About US Military Intervention In Benghazi
On the Friday edition of Fox “News”‘ Fox & Friends, contributor Geraldo Rivera called out the panel for repeatedly lying on-air about the official U.S. response to the 2012 attacks on a U.S diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya.
“The reason we are ridiculed, Brian – and it happened right on this couch, I saw it with my own eyes – we were saying with great certainty that the United States military could have intervened to save those lives once the attacks started. That was not true.”
He further went on to add;
“As the only person in this building that has actually been in combat in Benghazi, Libya and with these militia, I speak with some authority and I’m telling you we could not have stopped the attack…”
Fox News has spent a year pushing the false notion that no military assets were mobilized to assist American diplomats that had come under attack. 4 Americans including Ambassador Christopher Stevens were killed in the tragic attack.
Fox continues to push these false talking points.
