Why GOP Stopper DEBS C. is NOT voting for Mitt Romney

Why am I NOT voting for Mitt Romney?

I’m a divorced single mom. I am raising my child on my own. I work, and I get child support. I’ve been working since I was 10 years old (I’m 47 now). I’ve been paying taxes since that paper route at 10 years old.

A few weeks ago I was insulted by the Mitt Romney team putting me in that 47%. He claims I feel entitled to the Student loan I took for bettering myself, and for asking for help when my ex-husband left.  And that I had to house, feed, and care for my son . I have never felt entitled. I felt ashamed of receiving help for taking the responsibility of raising my son. Even though I worked, I still struggled every week to keep us alive. I always felt I EARNED this help. I’ve worked all these years. Paid my taxes. And I needed temporary support, until I could get back on track. This is called humanity, not entitlement.

Mitt Romney is completely out of touch of what’s going on in the world, too. I’m embarrassed by his policies and ignorance. My son is watching me. Watching how I conduct myself, and what my values are. I can’t in good faith vote for a man who can’t tell the truth, who lies and cheats, someone one who promotes hatred and ignorance of race, sexual freedoms, woman’s rights, the poor, vets, religious freedoms… the list is endless. I want my son to be proud of his president. To look up to him as an example of integrity, intelligence, tolerance, compassion. These do not describe Mitt Romney.

He said “too bad kids can’t vote. It’s our lives too.”

Thanks for listening
